CLL service and solutions, of Auckland are civil contractors running some of the largest piling and drilling rigs in the country.

One of their machines, a Bauer vibe used for driving sheet piles had a large vibration isolator block that the rubber had failed and separated.

A replacement part would have had to come from Germany at significant cost and downtime for the rig.
CLL engaged the services of Vibratech NZ Ltd to remanufacture this part.
Firstly, the rubber was stripped from the 12mm metal plates. Surfaces of the plates were meticulously prepared for bonding of new rubber.

A mould was prepared and the metal plates and raw 50 shore compound rubber assembled in the mould.

This is then put into our vulcanising press and the rubber cured and bonded at the specified temperature and time period.

The remanufactured isolator block is removed from the mould, trimmed and painted ready to enter a new service life.
